Quite a feeling I bet, braking at that speed and then not working. He brings his hands back, he knew he was going in hard. Crazy luck, its too bad, but maybe the race will be interesting. If its hot again we might have some issues.

It's because his fans are talking crap about Rosberg's retirement in Britain. Karma in action. Go Grosjean!

So did his rear brakes go out? His fronts appear to be working fine, they locked up the left front and all.

I have to say, I used to like Lewis back in 2008 when I started following F1, but in the last few years it seems like he feels entitled to everything and anything, and isn't afraid to let everyone know.

I think they said front, then the car spun. I would guess LF from the video. It wasn't a brake failure so much as a disk failure which likely locked it all up and spun it.

Latest updates: The team confirmed that a brand new brake disc failed on the Briton's car, causing him to spin before colliding with a barrier at the Hockenheimring. He will start from 16th on the grid for tomorrow's race, having been unable to take part in Q2.

Gotcha, watching the gifs again that makes sense.
